The first step to getting help is to admit that you need help. But – then what?
Over our past 11 years in the Virtual Assistance business, this is one of the most common questions we receive.
That’s where the second step to getting help comes in – complete a daily audit.
Entrepreneurs have become so obsessed with the idea that because they can means they must. This translates into entrepreneurs falsely believing that shouldering every inch of the burden is the only path to growth hacking.
The simple truth is this: outsourcing doesn’t make you any less of a boss, an entrepreneur, or a leader. In fact, being able to effectively delegate tasks to a Virtual Assistant team frees up the focus that you need to succeed.
There are 3 steps to completing a daily audit that will allow you to determine what to delegate to a Virtual Assistant.
Step 1: Figure out where your time is really going
Taking back control of your life requires that you figure out what you’re spending all this time on in the first place! Many people don't know what they really do all day.
For 3 days, list every single task that you do. A good tip is to set a timer for an hour and when the timer goes off, list everything you did in that hour. This helps you to keep accurate track of what you're actually doing. It may sound tedious, but these few minutes will provide a valuable ROI.
Step 2: Love It, Hate It, Gotta Do It
Once you have your list of tasks, it's time to categorize. Assign each task to one of three categories: Tasks I Love // Tasks I Despise // Tasks That Are Necessary.
Step 3: Delegate to your Virtual Assistant
For tasks that fall into the latter two columns, you either automate or delegate. This is what will truly revolutionize your workflow. The ultimate goal is to get the tasks from those two lists off of your plate so you can focus on doing what you love. If you’re ready to see serious growth, loosen your grip and let go. This will provide you the time to focus on your strengths and finally achieve what you really want in your life and business.
