How much ROI can $10 buy your company on Facebook? Facebook's new Promoted Post feature allows you to get exposure on Facebook and increase engagement - without breaking into your budget. Before you start, remember to go easy on your fans - you don't necessarily want to promote a promo code, coupon or new product.... at least not in this post. The goal of a promoted post is to get exposure-- not to sell your stuff.
That comes later - and we have plenty of strategies and tools to help you with that.
Here's a case study of a company that we work with. Before they hired the social media experts at Virtual Assist USA, the company was getting 1-5 likes per week with about 500 users on their page overall. Each post received virtually no comments or shares - they were spinning their wheels, wondering what they had done wrong.
In using a 3-day promoted post at a cost of $10, we garnered:
78 new post likes
35 page likes
23 post shares
So, how did we do it?
Gave them something to look at: The recent engagement rate on FaceBook for photos averages 0.37% where text only is 0.27%; this translates to a 37% higher level of engagement for photos over text. We used an info graphic created by one of our graphic designer Virtual Assistants.
Told them what to do: We gave them a specific call-to-action to like or share the post ... and they listened!
Didn't sell them - yet: Just be patient and it will come to you. Eventually, these new page users will turn into paying customers. But for now, the strategy needs to be social, marketable and shareable.
