Danielle Julia Cuomo, MBA

Danielle Julia Cuomo is an award-winning entrepreneur and founder of Virtual Assist USA. Virtual Assist USA is an early disrupter and leading provider of Virtual Assistant services that help to keep companies on track, focused, and growing. Under her innovative leadership, they have grown to a staff of more than 30. 

She is responsible for creating a proprietary approach to helping clients reach business goals by challenging conventional thinking and developing winning brands. Danielle is committed to ensuring that Virtual Assist USA remains a client-centric organization, constantly reviewing procedures and aligning them with the needs and preferences of clients. Virtual Assist USA has continued to take top honors every year from a variety of regional, national, and international business and industry groups.

 

Danielle’s creative, innovative approach to business garnered her many awards, such as the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Smart Business Magazine Innovation Award, Athena Young Professionals Award, Stiletto Women in Business Award, Web of Trust Award, Pittsburgh’s 50 Finest and Business Journals Women of Distinction.

She has co-authored the business book Not Your Average CEO. She has been sought out to speak on topics of business development and strategy for Forbes, CBS Business Network, Inc. Magazine, Woman’s World Magazine, CEO Focus, Entrepreneur Radio, Pop City, Small Business Radio, and Home Business Magazine. Danielle founded Virtual Assist USA after leaving a successful corporate career with a national IT project management consulting firm. With a multi-faceted business model, Virtual Assist USA has served thousands of small businesses across the world.

Danielle serves on the Kaiser University, IMC Department Advisory Board, and the Board of Directors of STEMSteps, a private early childhood STEM school. She serves on the Steering Committee of VolunTots. She is an active member of the National Speaker's Association and the National Association of Women Business Owners.

She is also an Official Member of Forbes Business Council, where she shares insights on the Virtual Assistant industry. Forbes Business Council is an invitation-only organization for successful business owners.

Danielle is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s in Business Administration. She regularly invests in continuing education, most recently with DEI initiatives. 

 

Danielle lives in Pittsburgh, PA where she spends her free time cooking, playing guitar, and trying to cross off every item on her Bucket List.

Nicole Gallicchio-Elz, MS

Chief Operating Officer + Vice President of Initiatives

As a Chief Operations Officer, Nicole possesses advanced operation abilities with the experience and talent to enhance business growth and profitability. Superior organizational skills that come with two decades of executive experience. She is an extremely detail-oriented and systematic executive with the agility and initiative to lead a team.

Nicole's passion is for helping business owners succeed by providing them with the skill sets and long-lasting operation processes to maintain a thriving, dynamic business. She's a strategic and dynamic leader and continues to improve our organizational efficiencies and identifies opportunities for growth. She’s recognized as a national leader in the Virtual Assistant industry. She continues to cultivate our strong team culture and work tirelessly to help us scale, grow and succeed. 

The educational background held by Nicole has allowed her education to be extremely diverse and well-rounded with a strong emphasis on science and mathematics. Conducting atmospheric and meteorological research in her spare time places her at the forefront of weather forecasting and climate change.

Nicole has been instrumental in our growth and has recruited and trained more than 80 staff members. Nicole is responsible for operations, strategic planning, team development, and initiatives. During her time at Virtual Assist USA, Nicole has helped to double the company’s revenue. Prior to joining Virtual Assist USA, Nicole held leadership roles as the Chief Operating Officer and Integrator at a large HR consulting firm where she was instrumental in scaling revenue growth and team development.

Fun fact about Nicole, she is a published Wiley author of the university textbook, The Evolution of Meteorology: A Look Into the Past, Present, and Future of Weather Forecasting. This unique combination of business and science makes for a rare talent in strategic and operational planning.

​

Nicole serves on the board of directors for The New York Milk Bank, focused on growth and expansion of this non-profit organization. She also serves as a director the Colorado Farm to Table, playing an integral part in their operations. 

​

Nicole received her Bachelor's Degree from Stonybrook University and her Master's Degree from Mississippi State University. Nicole resides in New York with her husband, two daughters, and two dogs. When she is not working, she enjoys practicing yoga and spending time with her family.
