2018 Year In Review

2018 was an exciting year for the world. The first Muslim and Native American women were elected into Congress. It took them over 40 years, but the Washington Capitals won the Stanley Cup. The world watched as an American wedded into the British royal family as the Duchess of Sussex.

While the Virtual Assistant industry grows globally at impressive rates, we are witnessing a shift within that growth. While the desire for more productivity and more freedom for entrepreneurs and business owners is nothing new, there are several factors driving this game-changing growth. Larger corporations are now exploring Virtual Assistant services as a solution -- providing assistants to executives and managers without the added cost. We worked with large companies this year, like Harvard Business Review, Twitter, Broadcom and Dow Chemical. The combination of our fast-start capabilities and all-inclusive skill set set means the potential for impressive growth across all industries.

We’re true to our roots, too. We’ve worked alongside our solopreneurs and small business owners as we have always believed that they they are heart of the American economy. Our team of all-American Virtual Assistants have allowed these clients to delegate tasks and free up their personal schedules to live more and stress less.

Here are just a few of my favorite 2018 moments:

  • We welcomed 6 new employees – team members with expertise in SEO, digital marketing and copywriting.

  • Our team member, Rachel, completed an intense course of Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2019 training, improving upon our video-editing services for clients.

  • I promoted our long-time, dedicated team member, Nicole, to Vice President of Operations + Initiatives. Nicole is a champion of our clients. She’s maintained a persistent client-first mentality throughout her years at Virtual Assist USA. She’s diplomatic, has an innovative spirit, believes in client service excellence and never misses a detail.

  • We became Partner Members of the National Speaker’s Association and entered into a sponsorship of their Winter Conference.

  • We became a Certified Google Partner. This means that our team of virtual assistants are now qualified to assist you with AdWords campaigns, keyword strategy and budget decisions.

  • We made the list of Fastest Growing Technology Companies and named a Top Back Office Provider by Clutch.

  • We were Certified as a Woman-Owned Business allowing us to compete for government contracts.

  • We became the first and only Virtual Assistant solution that is HIPAA compliant

  • We implemented a benefits package for our employees that includes a 401(k). Fairly rewarding our team and treating our employees like family is important to us. We pay our Virtual Assistant team 80% more than our competitors including a benefits package and time off. We believe that by providing above-average compensation to our employees, we’re providing above-average work to our clients. This isn't about profit margin. It's about doing the right thing and showing our employees that we value them.

  • We celebrated our 10th anniversary in business. Traditionally, 10th anniversary gifts comprise of tin which represents the durability and flexibility to sustain a relationship. Similar to the pliability of tin, our Virtual Assistant team can be molded and shaped to tailor each client's needs, forming lasting relationship built on the trust created from our flexible team of Virtual Assistants.

As we anticipate continuing our terrific momentum and executing our long-term strategy, I also extend my deep gratitude to our team of American employees – for the collective vision, innovation and culture of service that makes Virtual Assist USA thrive. They do not simply place a high value on proactive service, they seek it out. They cultivate it. We celebrate it.

Thank you for a wonderful 2018, we look forward to working together in 2019 and for years to come!
