Kathleen brings nearly 20 years of global corporate experience to the table. She has worn many hats (often all at the same time) in those various roles. The common thread across all industries has been her ability to not only drive constant improvement and growth but in helping others to be more successful. She loves to bring order out of chaos!


Kathleen believes it is not only her duty to serve her clients to the best of her ability, but also to educate them throughout the process -- providing helpful suggestions and growth hacks for improvement along the way. In the Virtual Assistant industry, Kathleen is known for being a true strategic partner for her clients, consistent communication, strong attention to detail and ensuring a positive experience for all of her clients.

Prior to joining Virtual Assist USA, Kathleen spent time in the Financial and Healthcare industries as an Executive Assistant, Project Manager, and Business Development Coach. Kathleen had a multitude of responsibilities, including managing the schedule and calendars of C-Level executives, large scale e-mail management, coordinating international and domestic travel and corresponding with internal/external contacts, planning conference and event logistics, leading weekly management meetings, generating reports, managing onboarding and more. Kathleen's clients describe her as hard-working, punctual, collaborative and an on-the-fly problem solver. Most of all, she loves to help clients figure out how to work smarter and more efficiently. 


Kathleen is skilled in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Slack, G-Suite, Quickbooks, Zoom, Skype, Canva, Bloomberg Reporting, Reuters Street Events, LMS systems (PeopleFluent, NetLearning, Swank), Myers Briggs Personality Indicator tool, various CRMs and all social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn. When it comes to bookkeeping, Kathleen helps clients utilize Quickbooks to pay bills, collect invoices and run reports to see how the company is performing. Additional bookkeeping tasks include advising clients on how to choose a Quickbooks edition, set up customers/vendors, set up billable expenses and time, paying bills, creating invoices, handling refunds, depositing payments, handling downloaded online banking transactions, running and customizing reports and automating recurring transactions.  


Kathleen received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Mississippi and her Master's Degree from the University of Tennessee. Kathleen also has credentials in business coaching. Kathleen is also Certified in Quickbooks online via the Project Management Institute. 


When she's not helping clients increase productivity, Kathleen is a volunteer with Hello Neighbor in Pittsburgh, an organization that helps settle and improve the lives of refugee families.

Fun fact about Kathleen: She is a world traveler and has been to Kenya, Croatia, France, Portugal, Myanmar, Thailand, Denmark and Turkey. She even had the chance to study French Cuisine right in the heart of Paris -- ask her to share a favorite recipe! 


Assessment Results


Each of our team members completes a Wonderlic Cognitive Intelligence test as well as a  DiSC Personality Traits Assessment, as part of our matching process. The Wonderlic Personnel Test (also referred to as the Wonderlic Cognitive Ability Test) was designed to test the overall aptitude of employees. The test is sometimes called a “quick IQ test." It focuses on determining overall cognitive abilities in the areas of math, vocabulary, and reasoning.


The DiSC Personality Traits Assessment gives us the chance to understand our Virtual Assistant's DISC personality blend. This way, we can take proactive steps to place that Virtual Assistant in environments where they'll feel comfortable and empowered, approach them in a way that they'll react positively to, and better understand and predict their actions and reactions in general.


 By thoughtfully taking this assessment, we are able to have better insights into their gifts and talents, which provides a stronger success rate at matching.
