One of the most crucial elements in a successful relationship with a
Virtual Assistant is having a process-oriented, efficient approach.
1) Initial discovery session: This is where we learn all about your
business, just the way that a large consulting firm would. We want to know
how you started; why you do what you do and what your goals are. We want to
know the strengths and weaknesses of your company.
2) Weekly meetings – or not: This is a preference. Some clients prefer to
meet with us once a week and take a more active role in their business.
Other clients hire us, send us tasks and never want to think about those
projects again – that’s okay, too! The frequency of meetings is up to
you to decide at your comfort level. Virtual Assistants are there to make
the life of a business owner easier and less stressful.
3) Constant communication and human interaction: One of the biggest pluses
to working with a Virtual Assistant is that we are never late to work! We
also return all e-mails and phone calls quickly, never leaving you to wonder
if your message got lost in cyberspace. While we work online, it is nice to
take an interest in each other’s lives. We celebrate birthdays,
acknowledge anniversaries and build real relationships with our clients.
Having these personal relationships affects the Virtual Assistant’s
approach to your project, which affects your bottom line.
4) Once-a-month billing: Our clients are provided with comprehensive
invoices once monthly, with a grace period.
5) Feedback: We ask for and expect to receive honest and clear feedback
about our work. We really do want to know how we are doing!
